Our Vision

What are our priorities as a church? Here are the aims we are focusing on at Holywell.

1. Looking up to God

We want everything we do to be focused on God. We want our heartbeat as a church to be ‘From him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen’ (Romans 11:36). We aim to be a clearly God-centred church that values worshipping him together. Looking up also means that we depend on God. We know we need God to ‘be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us’ (Psalm 67:1). So, we need to be praying together more as a church; expressing this dependence on God.

2. Reaching out with the Gospel

Jesus made clear what our job is: ‘Go and make disciples of all nations’ (Matthew 28:19). So, we are eager to make disciples here in Loughborough, both by our organised evangelism as a church and by the witness of our daily lives wherever God has put us. We also want to play our part in the gospel going to new areas, both by sending and supporting missionaries.

3. Coming closer in Fellowship

The church isn’t just a preaching centre or an organisation for getting a job done. The Bible repeatedly portrays the church as God’s family. We want the church to be a family of people who love one another and who come closer to each other as we come closer to God (1 John 1:3).

We hope that you'll want to join with us as we do this - wherever you are from and whatever your age and background. Please do look around our website and join us at one of our Sunday or midweek meetings.
