Home Groups

Church is more than just Sundays!

We were made for community, and God has amazingly given that to us through adopting us into his family. One of the best ways to enjoy this community is by getting involved in a Home Group. This is a brilliant way to enjoy your Church family through studying the Bible, praying, and supporting each other through all stages of life.

Home Group Meetings

Every first and third Thursday of the month, we meet as Small Groups from 8pm in members’ homes across Loughborough, with an additional Home Group over Zoom for those who struggle to get out. We also have a Home Group for those who speak Mandarin as their first language. If you would like to join a Home Group, please speak to Alastair on a Sunday or email the church office.

What to expect

Home Groups meet on the first and third Thursday of the month, normally for about an hour. There are four key features that we love to encourage:

  • Bible Study – The Bible is so important because it is God’s Word. We know who God is and who we are as we read and reflect. Each time Home Groups meet a chunk of time is given over to unpacking the Bible and thinking through what God’s Word says.
  • Prayer – After we’ve listened to God speak to us, we want to enter into the conversation! In prayer, we respond to what we have learned in the Bible. We pray for the church and the world. We also pray for individual needs in the Home Group.
  • Fellowship – Home Groups are places where through the Bible and prayer we can care for one another. Home Groups are committed to caring for one another including hospitality and serving each other.
  • Witness – Home Groups are outward looking. Through studying the Bible together, prayer, and loving one another, a natural awareness will be cultivated for those around us who don’t know Jesus. Home Groups are great places to reach out, invite in, and love those around us in our neighbourhoods and friendship circles.
